Be Artful! Wear Art!!

I believe I became an artist at the age of 3 in Linda Z Smith's modern dance class in Midland, Michigan.  Between  dancing like popcorn popping or like wind blowing, I found my creativity and the comfort to let it shine!

My personal love of adornment, accessories, jewelry and art have lead me to this artistic endeavor.  I love to wear handmade and unique items that in themselves are works of art.  It inspires me and I feel like I am carrying a little piece of someones creative spirit with me.

My ala carte art education includes 12 years of Modern Dance, Design classes at Grand Valley State University, Ceramic, Pottery and Raku classes at Kendall College of Art and Design.

I currently teach art at the Ottawa County Juvenile Detention Center and have taught ceramic and pottery classes at  Pottery Born pottery studio, and through my local Community Education Program.

My art interests are diverse.  In addition to jewelry, I paint, make pottery and collage.  I am even starting to try Altered Books!  I love to learn and experiment with new art and techniques all the time, I plan to always be a student of the arts!
